Heathrow: You can get into London from Heathrow in a number of ways and the best depends on your pocket, time of day and number in your party. Taxi or minicab: A black cab will cost you
no less than 35 pounds and it could be a deal more. Ask the driver what he will charge
you. They can charge a flat rate for journeys of this length. Mini cabs run from about 20
pounds but they will charge you waiting time and parking charges extra. Bus: You can get the airbus from any of the main terminals. The A2 goes to Queensway and Baker St and the A3 goes through Knightsbridge to Hyde park Corner, not too far from Dalmeny Ct. Prices are 6 pounds single and 10 pounds round trip. You may need to get the tube or a taxi when you get to the other end and traffic can make this a long journey. There are reduced rates for under 15's and free for under 5's. Train: The Heathrow Express now runs every 15 minutes to Paddington Station and costs 10 pounds each way. You can then get bus, tube or taxi to your final destination. From June 99 many of the major airlines will offer check in facilities at Paddington for your return flight. Useful links
