TRAVEL--Heathrow--Gatwick

Heathrow: You can get into London from Heathrow in a number of ways and the best depends on your pocket, time of day and number in your party.

Taxi or minicab: A black cab will cost you no less than 35 pounds and it could be a deal more. Ask the driver what he will charge you. They can charge a flat rate for journeys of this length. Mini cabs run from about 20 pounds but they will charge you waiting time and parking charges extra.
NB! Our driver can meet you and drop you at the door of your flat, inside! It's a good deal as you will be tired, grumpy and not happy to fight with others for taxis or buses after a long haul flight. If there are more than two of you this also makes sense economically. Charge is 35 pounds to Balcombe St, South Kensington or Notting Hill and 40 pounds to Dalmeny Ct, Shaftesbury Ave or other locations.

Bus: You can get the airbus from any of the main terminals. The A2 goes to Queensway and Baker St and the A3 goes through Knightsbridge to Hyde park Corner, not too far from Dalmeny Ct. Prices are 6 pounds single and 10 pounds round trip. You may need to get the tube or a taxi when you get to the other end and traffic can make this a long journey. There are reduced rates for under 15's and free for under 5's.

Train: The Heathrow Express now runs every 15 minutes to Paddington Station and costs 10 pounds each way. You can then get bus, tube or taxi to your final destination. From June 99 many of the major airlines will offer check in facilities at Paddington for your return flight.

Gatwick: From Gatwick you can get in by train or taxi. The Gatwick Express runs to Victoria Station every 15 minutes and costs 9.50 pounds each way. You can get a taxi from there which should cost you a bit less than 10 pounds or a tube or bus. Number 2 bus goes from Victoria to Baker St and the Circle line is direct on the tube although if you get the Victoria one stop to Green Park and change to the Jubilee line it is just three stops in total.

Minicabs will cost from about 30 pounds from Gatwick although they will charge you extras for waiting and car parking at those prices.
We can meet you for 50 pounds if you're going to Balcombe St or Sandbourne, 55 pounds if other locations. You can book a driver to meet you by email.
